چکیده

Abstract—The SAR interferogram, defined as the product of the first channel and the complex conjugate of the second, is one way of comparing two SAR channels. When the two subapertures are aligned along the flight path, targets with nonzero radial velocities can be detected by exploiting the phase information of the interferogram. This paper examines the effect of clutter interference on the interferometric phase and provides a simple method for mitigating the clutter contamination by using time-frequency (TF) analysis techniques and a velocity-offset matched filter (VOMF). Both simulated and airborne results are presented.

Moving Target Indication via Three-Antenna SAR with Simplified Fractional Fourier Transform

Ground moving target indiction (GMTI) is of great important for surveillance and reconnaissance, but it is not an easy job. One technique is the along-track interferometry (ATI) synthetic aperture radar (SAR), which was initially proposed for estimating the radial velocity of ground moving targets. However, the measured differential phase may be contaminated by overlapping stationary clutter, l...

Multichannel Along-Track Interferometric SAR Systems: Moving Targets Detection and Velocity Estimation

Along-track interferometric synthetic aperture radar (AT-InSAR) systems are used to estimate the radial velocity of targets moving on the ground, starting from the interferometric phases, obtained by the combinations of two complex SAR images acquired by two antennas spatially separated along the platform moving direction. Since the radial velocity estimation obtained from a single-phase interf...

GMTI for Squint Looking XTI-SAR with Rotatable Forward-Looking Array

To realize ground moving target indication (GMTI) for a forward-looking array, we propose a novel synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system, called rotatable cross-track interferometry SAR (Ro-XTI-SAR), for squint-looking application in this paper. By changing the angle of the cross-track baseline, the interferometry phase component of squint-looking Ro-XTI-SAR caused by the terrain height can be a...

Robust Moving Target Detection and Parameter Estimation Based on Three-channel SAR Images

Ground moving target indication (GMTI) is an important function of many airborne or spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems. The detection of ground moving targets based on SAR images, called SAR-GMTI, is a popular way. It is difficult for a conventional single-channel SAR system to achieve good GMTI performance, because of the difficulty in separating the ground moving targets from t...

Position Estimation of Moving Vehicles for Space-based Multi-channel SAR/MTI Systems

Ground moving target indication (GMTI) by a space-based radar system can be obtained by a multi-subaperture / multichannel radar system or a satellite cluster. The simplest approach with the receiving antenna split into two halves and most popular in the SAR community is to use the technique of along-track interferometry (ATI) to recognize moving objects. Caused by the ambiguity between radial ...
